A Day out in Connaught Village

With all the traveling I’ve been up to lately, I thought it’s a good time to embark on another area guide in London. I visited Connaught Village over the weekend for a girly day out and quite enjoyed it if I may add. Connaught Village is located short walking distance from Edgware Road, Oxford Street and Hyde Park and its one of Londons hidden gems. It’s a perfect area if you are into small boutique shops, bars, and restaurant and looking to experience the real London.

We started with a manicure at Fé Hair and Beauty, a boutique salon on the Kendal Street. I didn’t have a manicure in almost a month so I needed to feel like a human again. My nails looked absolutely amazing and I’m so happy that this is the first thing we did at the Connaught Village.

After having our nails done it was time to have some food. Stuzzico next door looked lovely for lunch and we popped in for some pasta. I really love Stuzzico as they serve anything from breakfast to dinner. I opted for Buratta for my lunch and my sister had pumpkin soup. For our mains, I opted for Linguine al tartufo nero and my sister had Linguine alle vongole. I love that the pasta was freshly made and ever so delicious and a perfect way to line our bellies for further area exploration.

We later popped into a few shops including small boutiques Viola, ME+EM and Mud Australia. The streets are so pretty and everything is so close to each other which is quite nice. We also stopped to shoot an outfit which I will share next week. No day out would be a complete without a cake and coffee and Cocomaya looked absolutely dreamy. We had some coffee and a cake, the setting is so beautiful and perfect if you are into quirky tea places. Also, the terrace is so pretty however, it was so cold to sit outside so I only managed to take a few shots before going in.

We also had dinner booked at Kurobuta at 6pm so I popped to Prewett Miller florist to buy some flowers as that’s what you do on a Saturday. Kurobuta is a Japanese  tapas-style restaurant which also serves bottomless brunch and was filled with happy people. We had around 6 dishes here including Miso Grilled Baby Chicken, BBQ Pork Belly in Steamed Buns, Wagyu Beef Sliders as our favorites. The service is so cool here and Kurobuta is such a cool and fun restaurant that I can’t wait to be back again.
