Delicious Moroccan Mezze at Momo London

Happy Wednesday guys! Last Friday Nancy and I headed to Mayfair for a little Moroccan experience at Momo London.

Momo London oozes Marrakech vibes throughout and it’s quite well known for being the most stylish Moroccan spot in London. Located on the Heddon Street, it really is a cool spot if you are looking to line your bellies before you hit any of the famous nightclubs in Mayfair.

This is not my first time at Momo, however, this time, we opted for a mezze menu at the Momo London Café which is adjacent to the restaurant. We were seated as soon as we arrived. The place was little hectic at first but it went quieter as we settled into our seats with a lovely glass of wine. The atmosphere and décor are as you may expect it very Middle Eastern and I love that I can experience the culture alongside the delicious food.

I have always been a fan of Moroccan cuisine but I must admit that I don’t have it often enough. We decided to order a few plates to share among ourselves as I think that it’s the whole point of a mezze menu. We opted for Zaalouk which is roasted aubergines with cumin and smoked paprika, Hummus, Crab Tacos with Tao Avocado and Bergamot Mayonnaise, Cured Beef Croquets, Chicken Tagine, Kofta, and Vegetable Bourek. We washed it down with a nice bottle of white wine, although I can’t remember which one we opted for. So the be honest this was enough good and more for 2 people, however, their staff are so friendly and manager convinced us to go for desserts. This was a big push but when I saw that they had Hazelnut and Coffee cake I found it difficult to respond. Let’s just say that we both found ourselves in a major food coma.

I really loved how friendly service was and the food was so delicious and served in a well sized portions.

If you are feeling more adventurous that we did,  there is a hidden secret pink door inside Momo London. This is their private members bar the Black Dice and if you mention Black Dice to their staff they will point you in the right direction. The bar offers fancy cocktails and has a regular DJ playing cool tunes. Momo London is more lively toward the weekend and it can be a perfect spot to kick off your night.

I hope you like my pictures. Have you been to any cool Moroccan restaurants lately?

It’s a great place to stop and take a break from shopping on Regent Street or just even start your night out with a few mezze plates and a bottle of wine. Let me know how it goes if you visit xx

This looks insane! I am seriously tempted to try here this weekend. I am the exact same – I don’t have Moroccan food as much as I’d love to – even though I love it. It’s so delicious! I think I will be heading here afterall haha!
