Exploring Melrose and Brunch at the L.P. Rooftop Los Angeles

Since we arrived in LA, the Melrose was the first area we visited, mainly because I’ve heard so much about E.P.&L.P. that we decided to kick our weekend off with a brunch at their rooftop. We strolled down the Melrose stopping to take pictures especially at the Paul Smiths store as the pink wall is kind of a must do when you visit LA. Well, especially if you are a blogger.

After walking around Melrose we headed to the EP&LP which is a really cool concept venue split in 3 different establishments including Frankie’s PrivaTe Bar, E.P. Asian Eating Cuisine, and L.P Rooftop Bar. We visited L.P Rooftop Bar around 12pm on a Saturday afternoon for some brunch and were greeted by the world’s most handsome man (I swear) who I actually think is a manager at the L.P.

Since we explored Melrose for a couple of hours, the hunger kicked in and it was a good time for a hearty snack. I did sort of expect to see your standard eggs at every possible way and avocado toast however these guys were serving Crispy Fried Chicken, Baos, Soft Shell Crab and Organic Tofu fries amongst other things. I opted for Crispy Chicken Sandwich and Adela had Pork Bao, we added Tofu and Waffle fries on the side. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed it although I rarely eat fried food but when in America you should treat yourself.

We had a couple of Bubble Tea alike cocktails that were stronger than they looked and this really set us up for the day. The setting of the L.P Rooftop Bar Los Angeles is just perfect, the rooftop offered such pretty views of the Hills and the service was so perfect. People are so much friendlier in California than in London but I think we have our miserable weather to blame for that.

If you guys find yourself in LA, I definitely recommend you pay L.P Rooftop Bar a visit, as I’m sure you  will love it as much as we did.
