Happy New Year everybody! I hope you all had the best night celebrating a start of the year that I believe it will be the best year yet. Here is to 2018 the year of gratitude, happiness and self-fluffiness.
I had a great 2017 working so hard on my career and my own company, which I have decided to fully focus on in 2018. I decided to quit my job and travel the work surrounding myself with positivity and people that I truly love sharing my time with. I have come to realize that your time and energy is the most precious thing you have in this world to be very careful with how you spend it. This and your family of course.
Currently, I’m in Bangkok and as I upload this post, we are already past midday on the 1st of January. I celebrated with an amazing dinner at our hotel Avani Atrium where my best friend and I stayed for the past 4 days. The terrace was filled with cheer and great vibes the entire evening and not to mention the most delicious Thai food. We purposely didn’t eat much the entire day so we can properly feast on the local delicacies.
We wanted to take it slow today so it’s a perfect moment for me to edit all of the amazing content I captured in Bangkok. We also need to pack as we leave for Kho Samui tomorrow. I’m hoping to blog every day this week and post on Instagram at least twice a day. I’m so excited to be in such beautiful country filled with the best vibes and I can’t help but feel inspired. It really makes me realize how toxic London can be and I couldn’t be more grateful to be able to explore more of this beautiful world.
2017 has been a great year with nonetheless few ups and downs. I lost my Nan at the end of 2016, who has forever been my best friend and my favourite person. I have been dealing with the pain of this loss for quite some time and it truly has affected me. On the other hand, my niece was born a week after and I can’t help but feel completely obsessed with her. They say every loss comes with gain and this has been so true for me in this case.
It wasn’t all bad as I visited LA on my own for a week to try to see if I can hate it since living there has been my dream from my teenage days. I decided that this is the place where I want to spend more of my time in 2018 as I had such a wonderful time. I’m so excited to get an opportunity to live with a gorgeous blogger friend out there so here is my dream coming true! I’m so grateful to have finally decided to make the biggest step of my life and quit the best job I ever had in order to pursue my dreams. I’m also excited to be able to create the best content for my travel and grow my Instagram and Youtube.
They say “A woman who changes her hair is about to change her life” and this was my motto when preparing for this trip too. I went to my local HOB Salon in Camden to cut it shorter and colour lighter so I can truly feel confident during my travels. I also want to feel that my hair is easy to maintain whilst in Asia as humidity here is unreal.
Not to forget to mention trying to do all this with confidence and style so I wanted to wear this beautiful LA-based brand Lovers+Friends to truly welcome 2018 in style. The dress is very flattering as I have been dealing with a gain of few extra lbs. thanks to the very indulgent December. I have decided not to let this get me down so I’m just gonna rock this dress in high heels as you do!
So these are some of my snippets from 2017. I just feel so grateful for each and every situation and opportunity that has come my way as truly these are the things that help shape you into the best version of your self.
