Hotels in LA: My Stay at Angeleno

There are so many hotels in LA to choose from that your mind will start boggling. Since I don’t drive, the location was the most important element to me. I really needed to be close to everything to be able to frequently hop into Ubers, so out of all the hotels, Angeleno seemed like a perfect choice.

I stayed in a few hotels in LA on my previous visits and Hotel Angeleno ticked many boxes for me including the service that they offer. The hotel is located on N Church Lane and its minutes from the Getty Centre. The Mulholland Drive is only 3 miles away and Beverly Hills and Santa Monica are just over 5 miles. This really helped me save a bunch on Ubers and transport, as well as Angeleno’s competitive rate. The hotel has a special partnership with Uber and the Uber fee can be charged directly to your room so you don’t need to worry about getting one yourself. They also offer a complimentary parking which can save you another bunch of bucks as parking in LA can be expensive.

I stayed in the king room located on the 15th floor with a cool view of the DTLA and LA’s highway. The traffic never stops in LA and the view I had represents the city so well. It was quite spacious with a most comfortable bed that I slept so well despite the jet lag. The bathroom featured a large ring light around the mirror making it easy to get ready and as usual, I went a little heavy on photos. I ordered room service from the West Restaurant on some mornings and allowed myself to lay in watching TV. I’m pretty much always out and about that allowing myself to stay longer in bed watching TV comes as a real luxury. It’s all about small pleasures in life 🙂

When I wasn’t out and about, I chilled by the pool and I even went to the gym couple of times. The pool area is so nice and relaxing with a cafe next door if you find yourself fancying a coffee or a refreshment of a sort. I would stay away from alcoholic beverages until the wine hour which is daily 5.30-6.30pm when the compliemtarty wine is served. To be honest, I’m not a really big drinker but I do like to savour a glass of wine or two especially when on a holiday.

Food wise, I had a couple of meals at the West Restaurant which has really good food and amazing views. The restaurant gets busy especially in the evenings as a lot of locals come out here for food and drinks so you can book in advance to stay on the safe side.

I had a great time at Hotel Angeleno and I’m quite happy I stayed here. It was difficult choosing giving LA hotels choice however, I’m really happy I made a great decision.

What do you guys think of my photos?
