Northern Ireland and Ireland, in general, has been on my must visit list for quite some time. After my trip to California, I really felt quite sad to be back in the cold weather and I decided that only a 5 star spa weekend in Northern Ireland can bring back my high spirits.
We boarded a plane on a Friday morning and headed to Culloden Estate and Spa which is the most prestigious five-star hotel in Norther Ireland. The Culloden Estate is located right on the slopes of the Holywood Hills which was let’s face it a major selling point for me. Especially that I truly miss the Hollywood Hills so you got to find an alternative that is as good. The entire estate was originally built as a Palace for the Bishops of Down and as soon as we entered the Culloden Estate we really had that fairytale like feeling and extreme amount of content that only nature can bring to you. The entire 12 acres of land surrounding the estate was so picturesque oozing the Autumn Idyll that I felt so happy to see the season change.
The Culloden Estate and Spa Northern Ireland is overlooking Belfast Lough and the coastline which made this place even more magical. We stated at their Dufferin Suite which had a gorgeous view of the Lough. The suite was really large and with the most comfortable bed and a large tv screen. We didn’t feel like going out much so staying in the evening and watching TV was exactly what we needed. The best part is the evening Housekeeping visit where the lovely staff draw your curtains for your and make sure that you are comfortable and have everything you need for a good night sleep. The service was so impeccable and quite an opposite of what we experienced in Beverly Hills.
The hotel in itself offers so much including the Mitre Restaurant and Cozier lounge that you really can entertain yourself whilst here. We enjoyed a cheeky glass of wine by the fireplace most evenings which was so cozy. We also kept active by going for a hike, we visited Culloden Estates Spa every day and I had the most amazing Bamboo Massage Treatment which helped me relax even more. The breakfast is served until 10am each morning at the Mitre restaurant and included Continental as well as Irish and more of brunch options including eggs royale and benedict. They have plenty of gluten and dairy free options including their Afternoon Tea so it was lovely to indulge guilt free. I will share a separate post about the activities that you can do at the Culloden Estate and Spa tomorrow, so make sure you check back then.
As always I went overboard with pictures but I really wanted to show you guys who beautiful this hotel is. I must also add that the service really made our experience so special and I really recommend Culloden Estate and Spa for a quiet weekend getaway filled with relaxation and luxury treatments.
