Polka dots are the trend that we will see around quite a bit this upcoming season. I wanted to share one of my favorite summer to fall transitional pieces that can be worn both for day and night.
Polka dots print is perfect for the transitional period and the best news is that they come in different shapes, size and forms. When I say shapes I mean dresses, skirts, tops, and trousers, you name it! The trend dominated many runways including Balenciaga and Loewe so it’s not a surprise that we will see more of it all over especially on the street style. I’m really excited to wear oversized polka dots in monochrome as I have few tops that I currently have my eye on.
For this look, I opted for a Nasty Gal Hit the Spot Dress with semi-sheer chiffon and a relaxed silhouette with an elastic waist. The dress has a slit on one side and the skirt underlay makes the dress appropriate for the day. It’s very flattering and versatile. I added loafers for the day look and pair of black sandals for the evening. I accessorised with a watch and small Valentino stud bag in red for the pop of colour. For the evening look, I added a red lipstick as I absolutely love matching polka dots with red lippie for that extra retro look.
I’m so excited to start transitioning my wardrobe into fall. Summer is still my favourite but there is something cool about wearing cosy clothes and layering it up. I’m currently researching my looks for the Londo Fashion Week and I feel like polka dots trend will make my selection.
What do you guys think of this look? Are you excited about transitioning into fall as much as me and what are your favourite trends for the upcoming season?
Lots of love.
