Roka Mayfair

Happy Monday everyone,

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and ready to embark yet on another working week. I’m counting down the days until my holidays in August and September and can’t wait to reveal to you all where I will be going.

In the meantime, there is always something exciting to do in London. I have so many plans that its hard to keep up at it. Anyhow, this week I thought to share my dinner with lovely Imogen at Roka, Mayfair. The catch up was rather long overdue and we picked a right place for it.The award-winning Japanese restaurant Roka Mayfair located on Audley Street (click HERE) for the map, its perfect for so many occasions including a date, dinner with your girlfriends, birthday and anything else that you can think off. I absolutely loved the atmosphere, cocktails, food, wine and even Aesop moisturizer and hand wash in their bathroom.

Imogen and I started our evening with a lovely Vodka Rose Martini and Edamame beans before looking at the menu and deciding what to have. We opted for a few sharing options including sake to avocado maki, crab meat, avocado, mayonnaise and wasabi tobiko, 9 nigiri selection which I believe is selected at their discretion, beef, ginger and sesame dumplings and a dessert that to be honest deserves a review on its own. It was the most delicious dessert I ever had something like profiteroles filled with banana ice cream served on the side with the most delicious warm caramel sauce, kind of a weird hot and cold combination, however, oh so delicious. I took a lot of pictures to show you guys, the food was so fresh and delicious, light and feeling at the same time. We could have probably managed another selection of nigiri however, I hate leaving restaurants with that sickening feeling of fullness.

Roka Mayfair is not the friendliest for your wallet and you are looking to spend £50 per head, at least, however, the whole experience and food was totally worth it.

I would most certainly recommend it for any special occasions that you have come up.

Hope you liked it and I have a good week everyone.

Tania xx
