Shipsomnia Postcards – A Week Cruising Mediterranean

Shipsomnia Postcards - A Week Cruising Mediterranean

Shipsomnia is definitely an experience I won’t be forgetting anytime soon, I absolutely loved every minute of it. The ability to have a party and a dance in the middle of the ocean with no cloud in sight is something I would recommend you guys do, especially if you are into electronic music.

I decided to embark on the Shipsomnai adventure with my friend Paulina who is also a blogger. We went to Barcelona to board the Brilliance of the Season Caribbean cruise ship which was our home for the next 5 days. The ship travelled from Barcelona to Ibiza and it was such a beautiful feeling to go to sleep and wake up in a different place. It was also a great opportunity to spend time in some of my favourite cities and take pictures for our blogs and Instagrams. We spent a day in Barcelona managing to visit my favourite Sagrada Familia and Park Guell. There is something about this city that captures my heart every time I go. The only thing I hate about it is mosquitos so make sure you apply repellent with your SPF as it can get really hot and there is nothing worst than dealing with annoying mosquitos in the heat.

Next stop on our Shipsomnia adventure was Ibiza. We also had the best welcome pool party where we got a chance to meet a whole bunch of new friends and adventures. Despite the temptation, we had to keep a good balance between party and shoots as I really wanted to capture the moments and things you can do on Shipsomnia. We spent the day exploring the Ibiza town which was so beautiful, packed with shops, restaurants and fresh flowers. We did a little shopping here, ate lunch and spent a few hours on the beach before returning to the ship. Shipsomnia guys also organised for the whole ship to visit the Zoo Project party in Ibiza so we can stay on the island for one night to party. We had transport back to the ship around midnight which was also nice to know that you don’t have to worry about anything yourself.

The third day was a day of the open sea adventure. The ship was transformed into a festival ground with Shipsomnia teams working around the clock in order to make our experience that much more unforgettable. Shipsomnia has three pools as well as sunbathing decks if you are into taking a break from dancing to work on your tan. The pools come together with a massive state of the art gym, running track, basketball court and a golf course and because of the size of the ship, you can totally split your activity and have a relaxing time, if need be. We also had an unlimited access to food which wasn’t so good for my diet. Shipsmnia crew made sure we had a fresh supply of fruit and pastries as well as all the other delicacies including ice cream machines. The buffet style restaurant was the most visited, However, we did manage to have at least one sit-down dinner ordering from the A la Carte. There were also wine bars, pubs and clubs that you could never feel bored of the same thing.  Despite the ship being a festival on the ocean, there was so much to do that even if you are not in the partying loads, you could just relax. The sunset was the most beautiful ever and I was so happy to have spent a few days with my girls Paulina and Teral.

The next stop was Sete where we decided to say goodbye to the ship and our Shipsomnia crew. The ship had a stopover in Sete for around 6 hours letting everybody explore the South of France before leaving back for Barcelona.
