Our Stay and Review of the Hotel Royal Santina in Rome

When it comes to traveling, staying in a comfortable and a nice hotel can make all the difference to your mood, and your stay quite frankly. We were so happy with our stay at the Hotel Royal Santina in Rome, that obviously, I had to share it with you guys.

Hotel Royal Santina Rome is 2 minutes walk from the Termini, which is the main train station in Rome and the initial meeting point for my friend and me since we traveled from 2 different countries. I learned from my past travels that when choosing the hotel to stay in you need to look primarily at hotel’s location, its rating and finally the price. This may sound quite obvious to many but we all know that the location is everything. If you are looking to save quite a bit of money on your stay you can always book on AirBnb but there is something about the hotel life that I love and don’t mind splashing the cash if it makes my stay enjoyable.

We arrived at the Hotel Royal Santina in Rome earlier than our check in time, which gave us a minute to sit down enjoy a Shakerato, a delicious coffee shook with ice and served in a martini glass. We drunk Shakeratos pretty much every single day as they quenched our thirst so well and with 40C outside, it was like a God send.

Hotel lobby at the Royal Santina Rome was quite modern and comfortable, I really liked that the interior changed lights with the mood and this was also available in our rooms. The service was really friendly and quite accommodating to my gluten free brags. Our room came with the breakfast served until 10.30am and it was so nice to get up early, have some eggs and fruit and plan the day ahead.

The room was quite modern and nonetheless comfortable. It came with a balcony with a nice view however, we didn’t spend much time on the balcony as it was boiling hot outside. The hotel welcomed us with the fruit basket and bunch of information about what to do in Rome and everything was of a perfect size including the bathroom. We had such a lovely time staying here and the location allowed us to walk to all the main sights in Rome within 20 minutes.

I would say aside of its comfort and service friendliness, the location was the best out of all. My airport transfer was just across the street so it was nice to know that you can spend that extra time exploring and enjoying Rome, rather than figuring out where to take the bus/train to the airport from. When in Rome I definitely recommend you hop on the bus rather than the train as it’s almost 3 times cheaper and the service runs quite frequently.

We both were super happy with our stay at the Hotel Royal Santina and I took so many pictures to show you guys. You can check the prices here but do also bear in mind that the city tax will be added at the end of your stay and this applies to all tourist accommodation options in Rome.

Have you been to Rome and what were your thoughts?
