Me time at the Thai Square Spa

After work on Wednesday, I headed to the Thai Square Spa on Northumberland Avenue, Charing Cross where I booked some time at their Sen space (jacuzzi, sauna and steam room) followed by a floral foot soak and an hour-long ritual body massage. I have been working extremely hard lately so I felt that a visit to a spa is well deserved if not desperately needed.

The Thai Square Spa wasn’t busy when I arrived which worked out well for me since I really wanted some chill and alone time. The staff was friendly and as soon as they checked my reservation they took me to the ladies changing room to change, shower and put my robe on. After I changed I walked me down the stairs to the spa facilities and the Sen Space where they advise you to alternate your time between the hot (Sauna and Steam Room) and cold zones (Ice Fountain and Jacuzzi) which helps to stimulate circulation and eliminate toxins from your body. I spent some time in the steam room followed by a good 30 minutes in the Jacuzzi. I took a few pictures with the self-timer on my camera to show you guys. The water was really warm and soothing and I really felt at easy that I didn’t even notice when 30 minutes flew by. I decided against the ice as I definitely didn’t fancy feeling a chill.

Once my time at the Sen Space was up, one of the Thai Square Spa Therapist reminded me that it was time for my massage. I entered the massage room filled with dimmed lights and calming scents, I was asked to sit down into a chair next to the massage bed as the ritual massage started with the floral foot soak. A therapist was so lovely and friendly towards me, she offered me a drink before embarking on making my body feel almost brand new. My treatment combined various Oriental massage techniques using essential oils and as well as I can remember I was offered Andaman Aromasoul Massage & Body Oil which is incredibly relaxing and soothing. My therapist covered almost every inch of my body and I felt incredibly zen after my treatment.

I wonder why don’t I go to spas more often as they are great not only for the body and mind but also for your soul.

You guys should definitely check the Thai Square Spa out especially if you like oriental treatments and Thai massages. Do you take the time out to enjoy your own company and treat yourself to a spa experience?
