Vietnamese Lunch at the Viet Grill

Having lived in East London for so long, I became somewhat a frequent visitor of Vietnamese restaurants on Kingsland Road. Truth to be told there are so many to choose from all offering authentic Vietnamese dishes but for me, the Viet Grill has been a favorite for so many years.

I love its décor, banana leaf wallpaper is so trendy and it really makes the atmosphere quite cool. The service is also okay and prices are quite reasonable. I think it is little more expensive here in comparison to the other Vietnamese restaurants on Kingsland Road but I think the restaurant itself it’s little nicer than others. There is also a cute bar downstairs “The Little Red Staircase” which is always a nice plus.

We went to Viet Grill on a late cold Sunday afternoon and decided that nothing will warm us up nicely like a large bowl of Pho.

We choose the Lunch Express menu with consisting of 1 main and 1 side at £11.50 per head and we opted for Shrimp Summer Rolls which are an absolute must, Anchovied Chicken Wings and two Chicken Pho’s although there was an option of beef if you prefer. We had Jasmine tea to drink.

The food was quite delicious and fresh tasting, chicken wings were not my favorite ever but Pho, on the other hand, was quite delicious and filling. The waiters were quick to seat us down and checked on this on a few occasions so I can’t really fault the service.

Kingsland Road really is the best for authentic Vietnamese cuisine and I can recommend the Viet Grill for their food.

Do you like Vietnamese food?

Thank you Kerry. I also love Thai however I sometimes find that Vietnamese is a slightly healthier option. Both are equally as good xxx
