Sanctum Soho Hotel tucked away behind the Regent Street is another cool find. The Sanctum Soho Hotel is known for its rock and roll vibe is a favourite hangout spot for many celebs including Britney Spears.
I met my friend Felicia from Stylechine for dinner and catch up around our blogging world. It was a quiet evening at their Remix restaurant but a perfect opportunity for us to grab some food and talk. The restaurant had oriental decor influences mixed with quirky art work. Remix serves modern British cuisine with an international influence and their menu limited little limited but the food was quite delicious, I have to admit.
We started with a couple of cocktails, French 45 if I recall well before taking the time to order our food. To start with I opted for an Heirloom Tomato, Mozzarella, Avocado Sorbet Salad and Felicia had grilled Asparagus, Poached Hens Egg, Watercress, toasted almond Sabayon. The main wise I had Chicken served with Sweet Potato, Smoked Pancetta. Before our food arrived we were given tea served in a rather dramatic way as you can see from my photos. We washed our food down with a bottle of house red wine.
We enjoyed our dinner at the Sanctum Soho Hotel however, we felt the atmosphere was lacking a little as the venue was pretty empty. Nonetheless friendly service and good food made up for it. We also didn’t mind it that much as we had a lot to talk about so we didn’t even notice. I really think that Sanctum Soho Hotel is perfect for a quirky date or if you are after something a little more different.
I will try and blog every day this week and on the weekend I’m off to Cornwall for the Boardmaster festival with Malibu. I hope you come back to check the new blog post tomorrow.
Lots of love!
