How to wear Culottes

Hi everyone,

I’m bringing yet another outfit this week that is on the trend this season. The feared cropped wide leg trousers or culottes as many of you call it.

The culottes trend has been massive this year since they appeared on Spring 2015 runways of New York fashion Week but I must admit I only decided to confront my fear and wear a pair as I had previously always thought that because I’m quite short that these wide legged trousers would have looked super funny on me but I decided to take the plunge.

The whole point behind rocking culottes is to try and elongate the silhouette so pairing culottes with ankle strap sandals and a crop top will visually make you look longer- if you are not scared to bare that is. I would recommend staying away from chunky heels but some people really can pull of culottes with a pair of clogs, however, these people usually tend to look like Kendal Jenner.

As you know I’m a sucker for the “Street Style” so I thought the best idea for me was to keep it casual with a print tee. To add some glam I wore my lace-up heels from Zara. In all honesty, the best way to wear this trend is to go all glam and add a crop top and an amazing pair of strappy sandals. To make it even more chic just add a red lipstick, I’m wearing Ruby Woo by MAC in my pictures.

My whole look is from Zara, the culottes are retailing at £17.99 which are a major bargain and the tee with the Brooklyn logo is only £5.99. Zara doesn’t always break the bank and they have some amazing pieces in their new collection that I’m currently eyeing up and soon to be investing in.

I hope you like the look guys and I would love to hear your comments as always.
