Peyotito London located in the heart of Notting Hill is perfect if you are looking to spice your brunch up by swapping your Egg Benedict and Bloody Marry and looking to Margaritas and Huevos Rancheros.
A modern Mexican establishment, a Peyotito London offers a cool restaurant setting and a menu that boosts I thought it looked quite opposite of your standard London Mexican restaurants decorated with sombreros. As a matter of fact, I there was no sombrero in sight but a cool neon sign featuring Tequila.
We visited on Sunday and it was pretty quiet considering the busy area, we didn’t mind though as it’s just so much better to catch up with your friends in a quiet place. We obviously opted for the brunch menu however, Peyotito London serves an A La Carte in case that takes your fancy. We started with a classic margarita served with a small bottle of tequila that came on top of the ice. Our waitress advised that we can either mix it in the drink or have it as a shot separately. It was definetly too early for that 🙂
Food wise we opted for a few dishes including Pulpo A La Mexicana octopus, salsa Mexicana, homemade clamato and tacos which are my favourite Mexican dish ever. We had braised beef and serrano chilli tacos served in lettuce cups and Tacos al Pastor with grilled chicken, homemade adobo, pineapple, white bean puree. You can have a look at their menu HERE.
We had such a lovely time catching up and drinking tequilas. Food was very delicious and quite light which is always a plus. I started eating more Vegan food during the week but I decided to be Flexitarian so I’m able to treat myself to whatever I want on weekend.
Are you into Mexican food too and what is your favourite dish?
