I hope you all are having a lovely end to the week.
I have been out all day with my sister shooting and brunching that I decided to go to bed early and upload a few blog posts for the week. I usually post in this section if something exciting is happening in my life that I believe is worth sharing and nothing is more exciting than having a brand new personal space. Out with the old in with the new!
Living in London can be hard at the times, especially if you flat share, which most of us do thanks to sky-high property prices in London. It’s really important to have a nice room to use as your sanctuary to escape the hustle and bustle of the city life just for the moment at least. Up until now I absolutely hated my room; it was extremely cluttered, especially in the past 15 months due to my studies. I had books and journals everywhere, plus a lot of clothes, shoes, and makeup that I didn’t wear or use anymore. The room quietly suffocated me and I didn’t even realize how unhappy and tired I constantly felt in my own home.
I had to do something and one day I started with a major clear out. I emptied everything out and started fresh. I got a new bed and desk from Ikea. Amazing Leesa sent me a mattress which is like sleeping on a cloud and most of the time I find it difficult to get out of bed because it’s so comfortable.
I created a blogging station with a wall of my own pictures, a lot of cute little props that I bought from Columbia Flower Market and different shops. I put up a couple of shelves for my nice pairs of shoes and made it all completely white with a navy blue carpet, curtains, and a few other details.
Your space is everything and to feel more creative we must let go of the old and make space for the new and let me tell you, it feels absolutely amazing. I no longer feel the need to be anywhere else all the time as I’m quite content with my new space. There are some cool interior ideas, on Pinterest and it’s amazing what you can do to make a small space bigger and brighter.
I hope you guys like my details and I would love to hear your thoughts about it.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and I will see you all next week.
Lots of love!
