Abbott Kinney, Venice Beach and Santa Monica Peer

I live in East London and Venice Beach always resonated as an area that will attract me the most. I love the quirkiness and the individuality that each and every building on the Abbott Kinney and Venice Beach offers as well as the edginess of the entire area.

We started off our visit to Venice Beach by parking our car just off the Abbott Kinney Boulevard, there is a lot of free parking available but I will share how to find it in one of my future posts. We were quite peckish so deiced to pop to the Butchers Daughter for a healthy meal. The waiters here were so cute and the service almost overdid their food. I opted for Avocado on Toast and Adela had Kale Caesar with an egg. You guys need to come here especially if you are into healthy eating and organic locally sourced produce.

We went for a long walk down the Ocean Front all the way from the Abbott Kinney Boulevard to the Santa Monica Pier. I really want to go to Malibu but I think we will do this on our way from San Francisco down to San Diego. The Ocean Front and the walk seemed a little bit rough and filled with homeless people and struggling artist. I like this vibe though as it makes Los Angeles less plastic and more real. The ocean and the perfect sandy beach were absolutely breathtaking. I couldn’t help but to take a few bikini shots at lifeguard huts as their colour matched my bikini so well.

We spent a good few hours shooting and walking barefoot in the ocean, the water was little cold but totally worth it. The whole vibe screams chilled and cool. I loved watching surfers chase the waves and young families playing in the ocean. The streets are so inspiring and I would love to live here if I ever move to LA.
