Edinburgh is my favourite city in the UK and I never refused a chance to visit. I spent a year studying up at Edinburgh Napier and if it wasn’t for the cold weather and ghastly winds, I would definitely live there.
Not only does Edinburgh has such rich history but it’s one of the most beautiful cities, I’ve ever visited especially in spring. We stayed right on the Royal Mile at the Old Town Chambers, a beautiful self-serviced apartment with views to die for.
Our apartment number 48 fitted with handmade furniture and furnishings, double smoked French oak wooden flooring and gorgeous Italian tiling and exposed stone walls made me love Edinburg even more. It consisted of an open plan living area with a massive king bed decorated with bright green cushions and throws. The kitchen was quite large with a dining table that can fit 4 people.
My favourite was the bathroom which was right in the middle of the apartment and separated by the sliding doors, the black and white tiles really gave it extra character and its stand alone bath was so dreamy. Cow Shed products throughout made the apartment smell like a spa and a really relaxing space to stay in. It had the best view of the Princess Street aside from the gorgeous interior, the location is to die for.
Sadly the weather made us limit our outside activity to a minimum so staying indoors watching people as they walk over the bridge was very pleasant, however, we did manage a trip to The Scotch Whiskey Experience which I will share in the next couple of days. Also, it was so lovely to spend some time in the robe drinking herbal teas. Our apartment had a Nespresso coffee maker as well as all kitchen amenities that one may need. Tea and coffee were replenished every day but in case we needed something, it was good to know that the concierge was open 24hrs.
We were really close to everything including a variety of restaurants and cafes along the Cockburn Street which is connected to the Royal Mile with a close. As always I went little overboard with photos but how can you blame when the setting is this gorgeous?
Have you even been in Edinburgh and where have you stayed? What do you think of our gorgeous apartment?
