Ubud is for relaxing and taking in as much of positive energy as possible. Another perfect spot to relax and reach a new level of zen is the Fivelements which was designed to help people go through specific transitions or transformations in their life.
Fivelements Is an innovative eco-wellness retreat focused on healing practices offering detoxification packages and rituals. In our case we arrived on a rather rainy day to experience their Balinese ritual. The Balinese ritual is a treatment that starts with a feet bath, followed by a 2 hour full body massage. You finish your treatment with a flower bath overlooking the Ayung river sipping on the most delicious ginger and honey tea.
The Fivelements resort was super serene located a short drive from the centre of Ubud. It’s a perfect place to unwind and enjoy one of the best massages I’ve ever had. The resort is well known for its healing packages and transformational concept. It’s a very beautiful setting especially if you are looking to escape the stress of any kind. I felt so relaxed after my treatment and the only noise I heard throughout was the noise of nature. The river added an extra level of zen and I couldn’t help but snooze and wander off during my treatment.
After the treatment we had some lunch, starting our meal with a heeling juice based on turmeric. This yellow drink was not only refreshing but had many healing properties due to curcumin which is an anti-inflammatory active ingredient that’s been used for centuries in medicine due to its antioxidant properties.
Fivelements restaurants is a fine dining establishment and you can choose between 3, 5 or 7 courses menu. Since it was a lunchtime we had a 3 course that consisted of salad, risotto and dessert. The food is all plant-based served raw and it was extremely delicious. The portions were the biggest size but it was enough to fill us up. I loved how delicious is the food here and I wish I could make my plant-based meals taste so good.
We spent a good few hours enjoying the peace and quiet of Fivelements. I couldn’t help but wonder the level of relaxed I would feel if I spent a week here. It was so peaceful filled with positive vibes that its very difficult to describe in a blog post but I feel like I did my best.
I highly recommend a visit to the Fivelements in Ubud especially if you are going through any transition in your life as I really believe that even 3 hours at the resort will help you get a new perspective on things.
