I’m quite excited to share another Christmas inspired post (which by the way I will try to keep up throughout December) about our recent Festive Afternoon Tea at Corinthia Hotel London. This is actually one of the first Christmas presents I received a few weeks ago from Corinthia Hotel and Laurent Perrier Champagne which I’m so grateful for. If you follow my social media then you know how obsessed I’m with Afternoon Teas especially when they involve Champagne and I must admit Corinthia exceeded all of my expectations.
Corinthia Hotel on the Whitehall Place just a step away from the Embankment station and all the main attractions makes it a perfect location and a must visit when in London Town. The Festive Afternoon Tea is served in the Lobby Lounge lightened up by a Baccarat Chandelier which looks out this world and decorated by an abundance of white wintery flowers making the Lounge just that more perfect for a Festive Afternoon Tea.
We started with a glass of our favorite Rose Laurent Perrier Brut Champagne and selection of Sandwiches served on fine china. I opted for a selection of Prawns in Marie Rose Sauce, Mrs Kirkham’s Cheddar Cheese and Pickle, Norfolk Bronze Turkey, Sausage Meat, Stuffing and Cranberry Sauce, Severn and Wye Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese which were all overly delicious.
I always feel so full after eating sandwiches however we managed to gobble down a couple of scones served with clotted cream and house preserves because what is an Afternoon Tea without a delicious scone. More treats followed and these included Spiced Mince Pie Macaron, Plum Amaretto Tart, Golden Choquette, Christmas Pudding Gateaux, Gingerbread Pumpkin and Fennel Pavé, Blackforest, Lemon Brûlée and finally a Scented Mulled Wine Pain D’éspices, Panna cotta, Chocolate Crunch. You can wash it all down nicely with a selection of their finest tea blends including a The Royal Lady Grey, however, we opted for a coffee.
We had such an amazing time and it definitely topped up the list of my favourite places in London for an Afternoon Tea and I highly recommend you guys check it out when in London next. My recommendation is to take your time to savour the treats as if you eat quickly you may find yourself feeling rather overly full, a mistake that I make almost every time but who can blame me.
Have a good week everyone.
Tania xx
