A week ago I published a post from my visit to Duke of York Square and one of my lovely readers mentioned that even though the restaurant looked amazing, she wasn’t able to have anything in there as she is vegan. Well, I thought to myself it’s about the time that I post about a restaurant that’s not only vegan-friendly but also vegetarian, gluten free, dairy and refined sugar-free.
Ethos located on Eastcastle Street is a dream for all you guys that don’t eat meat and have dietary requirements. I have to admit that most of the time I’m a healthy eater and even though I love to eat meat, I still enjoy a good vegetarian meal especially for brunch or what Ethos called this as Flexitarian. We decided to pay Ethos a visit for a good healthy brunch before embarking on shopping and running girly errands around Oxford Street. If you ever visited London then I’m 100% positive that you have paid Oxford Street a visit and if you have, then I’m also sure that you figured how difficult is to find a good brunch spot in the middle of crazy especially if you are a vegan or vegetarian. Worry not I’ve got you covered ☺
We visited just after 12 in the afternoon an Ethos was busy but not overly, I love the décor of navy and white and trees being spread through the restaurant. It really adds the serenity element to space and you almost forget that you are in the busiest area of London.
Ethos serves buffet style dishes where you kind of choose whatever you like and you pay by weight. Even though we didn’t go for the buffet, this time, the food looked absolutely delicious with both hot and cold options. These guys not only serve buffet but also a breakfast, lunch and dinner, Afternoon Tea and my favorite time of the day Brunch! Although I enjoy an Afternoon Tea too.
We started our brunch with a Bullet proof coffee which is coffee mixed with cinnamon and coconut, it was the first time I tried this and loved it. I also had a Detox” superfood green smoothie which consisted of Spinach, kale, apple, pineapple, lemon, ginger, spirulina, chlorella, wheatgrass, barelygrass, Mateja had a normal coffee. Food wise we opted for Scrambled Eggs made with real eggs & completely dairy free with Tomato, chilli, sour cream and avocado with a gluten free toast where Mateja opted for a light and fluffy pancakes with Raspberry, maple & almond. The food was really delicious and we felt full and not bloated which was so good. We finished off with a glass of Birch water.
Ethos also delivers all of their vegan and delicious vegetarian dishes via Deliveroo but unfortunately, my area is not covered, otherwise, I would be ordering my lunches from here daily as the price is quite good.
Do you enjoy meat free, gluten free, vegan, vegetarian food?
