City Stories: Favourite Spots for Brunch in Shoreditch

Brunch in Shoreditch is somewhat of a tradition for me purely because brunch is my favorite meal of the day. I think this is due to the fact that I work so much so I don’t have to have regular meals; awful I know! So I decided to share my favorite brunch spots in Shoreditch for the second episode of my City Stories series in collaboration with Point A Hotels. The City Stories series contain three area guides and this is the second featuring brunch spots In Shoreditch. My favorite dating spots in Shoreditch are to follow next week. Also, I wanted to let you know that Point A Hotels are also giving you a chance to win a VIP stay and Shoreditch experience, so make sure you sign up at the bottom of this post.

Brunch in Shoreditch is recommended as there are so many great brunch locations to chose from. However, choosing a right one can sometimes be mind-boggling. I tend to visit same places a lot so I thought to pick my top brunch in Shoreditch spots for you guys. I’ve selected them in the order of favorites.

Dishoom Shoreditch

Dishoom isn’t your typical brunch spot with eggs benedict and avocado on toast but instead, you can expect an Indian twist on your standard breakfast dishes. Their fruit and yogurt bowls are very delicious, however, I recommend Dishooms signature dish Bacon Naan roll. Bacon naan role made with The Ginger Pig’s smoked streaky bacon is considered to be one of the breakfast sandwiches in London. Aside from yummy food, the Dishooms setting and atmosphere make it my favorite spot for brunch in Shoreditch. The dark wood and industrial decor with dim lighting make Dishoom quite cozy. Bear in mind that it gets really busy here so I definitely recommend you book a table, otherwise, the queue can get quite long. If you are not into brunch, Dishooms Permit Room serves delicious cocktails also with an Indian twist. You can access their menu HERE.

Sardine Shoreditch

Sardine is the latest addition to brunch in Shoreditch options. It offers French dishes mixed with British classics. The open plan kitchen and its creative interiors make Sardine quite popular amongst the artsy crowd. It’s also quite convenient that it’s located right next to Parasol unit and Victoria Miro making it a really nice spot to escape the Old Street crowds. Opt for a Breakfast Cassoulet to give your taste buds a real treat.

Trade Spitalfields

Trade Spitalfields located on the Commercial street is one of those spots that is slightly out of the way. It’s filled with locals and savvy brunchers looking after an artisan cup of coffee and good value avocado on toast. The seating area is quite large with a cute outdoor garden which is perfect to visit on a sunny weekend. Trade is really popular so it can be expected to queue for a table. I really liked the atmosphere and the decors with the copper pipes throughout making space very much East London appropriate. Their signature pastrami dish has a great reputation and I can definitely vouch for it. However, I was in the avocado toast mood and decided to have it with a side of chorizo. If you are in the area, do give Trade a go as I’m sure you will like it.
