How to keep your tan fresh all year long is a question that I get on my social media channels a lot so finally decided to do a full blog post on it. I’m lucky to be able to travel to a lot of hot destinations so that really helps my bronzed glow.
However living in London where sunshine is scarce, the tan doenst last that long. This means that I have a self-tanning routine that helps me prolong my tan and keep it fresh all year long. Over the years I’ve tried pretty much every single tanning product you can think off and managed to drill it down to the set of my favourites.
Self Tanning Drops
Self Tanning Oils are somewhat of hybrid tanning products as they are used in combination with your normal day to day moisturiser. This is my favourite tanning product especially as it takes minutes to apply and it doenst require an additional step in your skincare routine. I love using these after I come back from my holiday as these products really help prolong my tan and keep it fresh all year long.
My favourites are Tan Luxe The Body, Isle of Paradise self-tanning drops and Vita Liberata self-tanning anti-age serum for the face. These are so perfect for lazy girls such as me.
The recommended guide to glow is:
• 2 drops – radiant
• 4 drops – sun-kissed
• 8 drops – golden
• 12 drops – bronzed
Self Tanning Mousse
Self Tanning mouse is truly an answer to how to keep your tan fresh all year long especially if you are not a lazy girl. The mousse is a perfect way to get the salon quality tan and after trying bazillion of different products I narrowed it down to two favourite self-tanning mousses:
Vita Liberata Phenomenal 2-3 weeks Tan Mousse and Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Mousse.
I will usually apply a self-tanning mousse one night before my flight and I sleep in it. I wash it off before I take off and my body is ready and better looking. I love how the fresh tan feels and the confidence boost that comes with it.
Both Vita Liberata and the Isle of Paradise are super easy to use. There are no streaks associated with either of these products and the tan last for at least 2 weeks.
Self Tanning Cloths
This product is fairly new in my collection and I love taking it with me when I travel to top up my tan on the go. I use a sheet to cover an area such as arm, belly, legs etc and the tan develops in approximately 6 hours. I love Vita Liberata and how innovative they are making self-tanning easier than ever before. Of course, you can focus just on one of the areas of your body that will be exposed over having to tan your full body but I usually do this when I use products in the next section. Vita Liberata Tan Infused Cloths.
Instant Tan
Instant Tan products are somewhat of a body makeup routine rather than tanning but they make the tan look fresh as required. My two favourites are Lancaster Sun 365 Instant Self Tan and Vita Liberata Body Blur. Lancaster jelly is more of an application a couple of times a well and go. However, Vita Liberata is perfect for a quick application before the night out or a date.
All in all both products are perfect to achieve the instant glow and keep your tan fresh.
I hope this post helped you learn more about how to keep your tan fresh all year long. I don’t know which of the products is my favourite as I use them sporadically throughout the year. I suppose it all depends on my travel plans and how much time I have on my hands.
Do you use any of the suggested products already? If not what is your routine like?
