Firedog Fitzrovia is one of the latest discoveries of mine, and of course, I had a to take a bunch of pictures and publish a review on the blog. We really had a lovely lunch I thought it’s worth recommending especially if you like Mediterranean food.
Firedog Fitzrovia serves modern Turkish & Greek or Aegean food if you want to be fancy. This is literally my favorite cuisine and since I love eating loads, I thought sharing a few plates with friends is the best idea. We booked a table for a Sunday around 3 pm and kicked it off with a delish glass of Mimosa. Firedog uses fresh mandarin juice in their mimosas which make them even yummier and perfect drink alongside your lunch.
We ordered a selection of dishes choosing olives, bread with a side of hung yogurt, red pepper, and feta dip. Our lovely waitress advised that we need 2-3 dishes to feel full but I opted for 4 just to be on the safe side. I chose 2 vegetable mezze platters including mixed tomatoes salad and fried sweet green peppers and olives. For our meat and fish options, we opted for charred octopus with corn pure, charcoal-grilled prawns, Josper grilled fish with cauliflower, slow braised ox cheek and roasted baby chicken. Needless to say that we might have gone slightly overboard but the entire menu sounded so delicious that it was quite hard to choose.
All in all, I definitely recommend Firedog Fitzrovia especially if you love restaurants that offer sharing food concept. I think the Firedog is a perfect starting point if you are on a night out with your girlfriends and looking for a spot to grab some food before you hit the club. The food is really delicious and of a high quality at a very decent price. Not to mention they extremely friendly service and cool tunes playlist.
I took a few pictures to show you the atmosphere and food at the Firedog Fitzrovia, so feel free to let me know what do you think.
Have a lovely rest of the week everyone.
