So it was my birthday on Wednesday and my sister and her boyfriend decided to take me to the Duck and Waffle at Heron Tower.
Duck and Waffle is positioned on the 40th floor of the Heron Tower and offers alongside its funky menu, the most amazing views in London.
The place is always fully booked and in the evening there is always a massive queue of people waiting to go in so I thought lunch time would be more appropriate as I didn’t want to deal with crowds and waiting a long time to get into a place…Never cool to do!
When I phoned up to book the time I was after was already booked however, the reservationist was kind enough to offer me a larger table at an alternative time so that was a good start.
Duck and Waffle is open 24 hours so if you ever find yourself near the City at an odd hour, perhaps after clubbing at Fabric, this is a place to come to. They offer amazing breakfast and brunch options so I’m sure you will find something suitable to order. I opted for a duck and waffle haha what a weird cliché however, it oddly went well together. I also had a macaroon sandwich to finish off. To be perfectly honest the place itself did more for me than its menu and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and service plus they also had a really good Cotes Du Rhone and everyone knows how obsessed I am with this wine.
Duck and Waffle bar area which has breath-taking views so if you fancy a cocktail before your lunch, is a good place to start.
I had such a lovely birthday but its not over yet. Tonight we are headed for dinner and drinks in Shoreditch and I will make sure that you read about this next week.
