First Aid Beauty – Winter Beauty Essentials

I’ve been meaning to review my First Aid Beauty stash for so long and I’m so happy that finally, I get to share my secret to skin healing. The truth is as soon as the weather turns and the air becomes crispier, I get skin irritations and eczema. Sometimes it comes up in patches on my body but this time my face was the target.

I really wanted products that have healing and restorative powers and that actually can make difference to my skin. I wouldn’t know which another brand  I could opt for to help heal my skin. I reviewed all the First Aid Beauty products I used below.

My morning and evening routine always starts with a cleanser and a toner. I have been using First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser but forgot to shoot it as it was in the bathroom. The cleanser is very gentle and free from any fragrance so perfect for the sensitive skin. It removes makeup really well and all the dirt build up for the day. I love using it as it leaves my skin super soft and ready for the next step. If I feel like I need an extra cleanse I will use First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads which are so good to exfoliate with. The best thing about these pads is that they are not abrasive and leave your skin bright as a day. Toner wise I use Elemis.

After cleansing comes care and I make it my mission to apply a serum to my skin. I have been using Vitamin C serum in the past, which according to my doctor turned to be a reason behind my skin irritation. Since then the only serum I use is the water-based First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum that locks in the moisture due to the gel based formula that is easily absorbed into the skin. The skin feels hydrated and plump immediately. The serum provides a perfect base for my First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. This is by far my favourite First Aid Beauty product and if you were to get one product make it the Ultra Repair Cream. The fluffy cream texture is non-sticky and I literally smear it all over my face and body. Its based on colloidal oatmeal which helps relieves eczema and dry itchy patches;  shea butter and ceramide 3 that provides moisture and hydrates the skin, and liquorice root, feverfew, and white tea extracts to help fight against free radicals. This cream helped me get rid of my irritations in just over 3 days and I’m super obsessed with it.

Once my moisturizer and Serum have soaked into my skin. I will then proceed to even out my skin tone and balance out any redness caused by the irritation. For the eye area, I apply First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple Remedy that helps reduce my dark circles, making my eyes appear bigger and brighter. It also reduces puffiness, fine lines and wrinkles. This little miracle product contains Retinyl Palmitate for its anti-aging properties; Glycerin to help with the hydration; Caffeine and Licorice Root to help reduce dark circles; Coralline Extract to help nourish. Its a perfect all-rounder and it has a metal spatula to help massage the product into the skin whilst giving the cool sensation to this delicate area.

I also use  First Aid Beauty Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer as a primer. I apply it on top of my ultra repair cream for extra moisture especially when my skin goes through the irritation phase.  It containing Coconut Water which is so well known for its hydrating properties. It also has a Mineral Blend containing Zinc, Copper, Magnesium, Iron and Silica to really help support the health of your skin. In addition, I also use their SuperFruit Colour Correcting Cushion compact that has a blend of colour correcting pigments which are so good for reducing that annoying redness. This product instantly improves tone and brightness like anything else.

I’ve just stumbled upon this blog and this is the first post I’ve read.
Ive recently started using the First Aid beauty line as well and I love the way my skin feels, my skin has a habit of getting red patches especially on my cheeks but this range really helps to even it out and helps to keep my skin feeling clean and fresh, also the delicious scent of the coconut primer doesnt hurt. 🙂

I’m heading to 30 so I’ve decided to focus all my attention on my beauty regime and this brand really really works!
