Hey, everyone! You can’t even imagine how glad I’m that it’s finally the weekend. During the week, I went to have my hair done at the hair salon that is not just a hair salon but also a gallery showing a really cool art. I’m really excited to shoot an outfit without my extensions and show you my new haircut in action. New outfit post will go live on Monday as usual ☺
I came across The Lion & The Fox whilst browsing HAIRCVT in order to find the best hair salon in my area. Its so easy to spend a good amount time on HAIRCVT deciding where to go as they salon listings upload pictures of their clients so it makes it so much easier to figure out where to go. Scroll down for a video I filmed showing you how to book.
I picked the Lion and the Fox as it sounded super cool. The hair salon was founded by 2 brothers, one is a hairdresser and another a photographer hence the hair salon and a gallery in one. London is full of similar quirky concepts when it comes to everything including hair salons so I wanted to share and review it for you.
I booked with Olivia at The Lion & The Fox and she was so sweet to take the time to figure out what I was after and to make sure to make me aware of every single thing she did on my hair. I really wanted to cut my hair short as I felt it wasn’t as healthy as I wanted it to be however, Olivia said that there is no need to do that as the products I’m currently using are weighting my hair down making it feel more unhealthy than it is. I told her that I use Moroccan oil on my ends but Olivia advised that that’s too heavy for my fine hair and that I should switch it to water based oils that are more suited for fine and colored hair. We agreed that it would be the best to cut a couple of inches and get rid of the split ends, she also made my fringe little more structured and easy to style.
I left the hair salon quite happy which is not always the case with me as I can be quite picky. I’m glad that I have given my hair a fresh start and it will be easier to grow it from here.
What do you guys think of my new hairstyle?
