I just returned from a trip to a chic Lake Como resort, Casta Diva Resort & Spa. CastaDiva is a rather lavish 18th-century villa resort with breathtaking views of Lake Como. I was so grateful to be taken on this trip with 3 other bloggers, all fully organised by the Blogger Programme.
The Blogger Programme were so lovely and made sure we were all well looked after the entire weekend, so thank you guys.
Rumour has it that this is where the famous composer Vinzenco Bellini wrote 2 of his most famous works, Norma and La Sonnambula which later inspired the name of the resort. The plush lobby and communal rooms of Roccabruna feature velvet and marble throughout, with the most beautiful views of the lake. You can imagine how easy it was for us to take pictures at every single corner which was very much Instagramable. The entire resort has 75 rooms, 2 restaurants, 2 pools and a high end spa. CastaDiva Resort & Spa is where a lot of well know celebrities stay when visiting Lake Como, including Robert de Niro!
Our suits were located in Vila Dorabella which were absolutely stunning. I had a whole apartment to myself which made me wish for this to be my London home. Golden-detailed elements featured throughout the suit made my room feel that extra bit more lavish. Two balconies gave me the most amazing views of the lake and it’s such a perfect way to start your day sipping an espresso whilst taking in the beauty that is in front of you. I wish I had a whole week to stay here as it would be the best place to fully relax.
Each morning after waking up we would pop down for breakfast at the L’Orangerie restaurant where we were treated to a delicious buffet spread filled with bread, cheeses, eggs, fruits, yoghurt and cereal. This would get us set for a day ahead. On one of the days, we had a boat tour to Bellagio which you guys remember I already visited this summer. We were taken around all the famous villas in the area including George Clooney and Richard Branson’s home. It felt kinda surreal to be so close to where some of the most famous people in the world live.
Sunsets on the lake were my favourite, we had such a great time shooting. The pool was out of this world and it was so nice to see the sun setting over it and across the lake. We also visited their luxe spa where we enjoyed a massage and had full access to their indoor pool, sauna and a jacuzzi. They had extremely beautiful spa rooms set in a cave and I don’t think I have visited a spa as luxurious as the CastaDiva spa!
We also enjoyed an aperitif on one of the evenings and fine dining dinners prepared but their famous Chef Enrico Derflingher, well known for working with our Royals which fully made our stay here that extra bit lavish.
As always, I took quite a few images to visually show you our experience and if you are after a romantic luxe weekend on Lake Como, I would not recommend anywhere else but Casta Diva as its truly an amazing experience.
Have you visited Lake Como yourself? And if so where on the Lake did you stay?
