Happy Monday!
Long gone are the days with old school pub food of fish and chips and burger as more and more places are embracing pizza as a main dish on their menu. Not sure how it happened but I do like a good pizza in a comfortable setting, I usually order pizza on Sunday when I’m home hungover but it’s nice to know that your local does this delicious Italian staple.
So when I found out that you can get a Pizza at the Red Lion, Hoxton (click HERE for the map) which is my favourite pub in Hoxton, I decided to dedicate a blog post to it. Well after I tried it to make sure that its worth of recommending.
Red Lion is positioned on Hoxton Street and just off Hoxton Square; it’s spread over three floors and it has a rooftop which is great for when the weather is nice. I love this place as it’s a really cosy pub with decent drink prices, perfect for a drink before you embark on a night out in Shoreditch. If you have a big party, you can always book one of their rooms which is a perfect setting for a birthday party or a work function.
We had our pizza on the ground floor as it’s near the bar and sometimes you need to queue for a drink when it gets busy so I figured the closer I am to cider the better as it was really hot the day we went. The pizza was amazing, really tasty and quite large, I opted for a Margarita with black olives and Kinza had a Primavera (red onion, mushroom, tomatoes).
Once we filled our bellies, we headed to the rooftop which was heaving with people and we watched the sunset. If you guys are in the area and like a good pub, then you must visit the Red Lion and try one of their pizzas.
I will try and blog more this week as I have a few posts coming up in the fashion and beauty section so please leave comments below as it makes me really happy when you do.
