Staycation in Uluwatu – Where to Stay What to Do

I love organising trips to Uluwatu as it’s such a perfect getaway spot, and in this post, I wanted to share where we stayed. I have also filmed a vlog sharing all the things we got up to in Uluwatu. I would also appreciate it if you could subscribe to my channel, the place where I share weekly videos about my life in Bali, my spiritual growth, personal development and entrepreneurial journey.

Where to Stay in Uluwatu

We arrived around midday and headed straight to Sal Secret Spot, a boutique eco-hotel located in Bukit. I took a few photos to show you around it as well as a quick video tour to help you decide on your stay here. Since Bali is closed for tourists right now, Sal Secret Spot mostly has people like me looking for a quick change of scenery or long term loggers staying there for one month or longer.

The rooms have been freshly painted and are quite spacious and bright. The perfect base for your Uluwatu trip, especially if you like creating content. The pool area is pretty chill too, which is perfect as we wanted to relax away from busy crowds. The owner Miguel and Ibu that looks after the place is really friendly and will make sure your stay is comfortable. You may also run into the cutest sausage dog called Sir Albert that will join your stay to make sure you feel at home. I love him.

Where to Eat in Uluwatu

Since Sal is surrounded by the most amazing food spots in Uluwatu, it’s really easy to pop out and get a bite to eat. We had lunch at Cashew Tree Collective and Nourish which are my favourite spots to eat at.

For coffee, we hopped over to the Drifters, a surf shop and cafe that felt like I was somehow transported to the States. The coffee was great and I recommend this spot guys as it’s amazing and has a lot to offer especially if you are looking to kill few hours by browsing all the amazing products they sell here.

Where to Beach in Uluwatu

Beach wise on this trip we chose Thomas beach. I tend to go for Dreamland and Binging however, I loved Thomas beach as it wasn’t as dirty as some others and the sand is more rough making it a cleaner spot to chill. A day spent on the beach grounding and appreciating nature with your friends is time well spent. I always feel so grateful for my life in Bali and it’s mostly because of the amazing nature surrounding me. I have anything from mountain to volcanos to the most beautiful beaches on the south. I feel truly blessed.

Where to Party in Uluwatu

If the beach and cute restaurants are not enough, the Single Fin celebrated ten years and threw amazing party. I love chilling by their pool as the view is insane, especially at sunset. We had a couple of beers, danced a little before heading out to dinner.

We chose to have dinner at District 6 as they offer 50k meals or £2.5 which is less than $5. I ordered Tuna steak, which was so yummy however, I didn’t enjoy their margaritas as it tasted of liquorice. I didnt mind not drinking more since we planned to shoot some contnet the next day and wanetd to wake up fresh.

Most places close at 9pm anyway which honestly I love. It provides me with more balanced lifestyle as Im not tempted to party until eatrly hours. Districk Six is only 5ish minutes drive from the Sal and 9pm seemed like a great time to head back, cuddle with Sir Albert and get a good night sleep.

I had a lovely time and I always do when I head to Uluwatu. Its one of my favourite places in Bali and i hope this blog posts helps you plan a perfect staycation too.

Wishing you a lovely rest of your week.

Tania
