Happy December loves! With December comes loads of December parties which are a great opportunity to get your work party outfit ready and prepare yourself for some serious festive fun.
Work lunches and after work drinks are more frequent in December than any other month so we really need to make sure we are ready to celebrate the festive season in style.
Work party outfit maybe a little tricky to pull off especially if you are a free soul in the corporate world but luckily velvet is back this year and a great way to elevate your party outfit. Most high street stores have so many amazing velvet dresses that you will be spoiled for choice. I wanted a versatile dress that I can kinda a wear to a lot of different events and client lunches and this cute Topshop number really caught my eye.
The dress has cute burnout spots and an asymmetric hem. I love the scrunched shoulder detail and the major 80’s vibe that this dress gives. I paired it with a sparkly ankle bootie that I got during last years Zara sale but Topshop has a great pair of sparkly sock boots that will go just as well. I wore my mini Gucci Dionysus to add a pop of colour and kept my make up bare as I don’t wear much of it anyway.
Velvet is so perfect for the party season especially if you like that 80/90’s vibe. It’s also quite flattering and perfect as a day option. I also love how comfortable this dress is and best of all it won’t break the bank.
I’m so excited to attend as many Christmas parties as possible this year since I will miss the festive vibe in January. January will be filled with sunshine since I will be in Asia the entire month but I’m so excited to start blogging full time and focus on creating content every day for you guys.
I hope you liked this post and I will be back tomorrow with a breakdown of my makeup look.
Lots of love.
