New season its time for London

With every season change comes a mindset change. As a self-proclaimed never-ending summer chaser, I’m for once excited to stay put in one place and explore a never-ending plethora of London offerings.

I’m moving more from a constant go-getter masculine energy to a more nurturing feminine side of myself. With this change, I wanted to dedicate this season to art and the creative rise in my consciousness.

Greece has made a change in me I, find myself wanting to receive more. I’m usually in the giving and gathering mode, however, I love the energy shift.

I’m excited to experience London from a feminine energy perspective and what better way to celebrate than through creative endeavours?

In this post, I have compiled the list of things I recommend doing in London if you find yourself craving creativity and inspiration. Who knows you may find yourself commencing a creative project of your own.

I love the colours of Autumn, the change in the air and the cooler breeze in the mornings. We are blessed with so many parks and what would an Autumn be without a connection to nature?

Long Park Walks

My favourite park this season is Hampstead Heath. I will be dedicating my weekends to long Autumnal walks around Sandy Heath and Pergola, Hampstead Ponds and my favourite viewpoint Parliament Hill. With a hot drink in my hand and vast views of London, Parliament Hill is the best spot to connect to nature and ground. I find it so much easier to ground myself and feel centred and balanced when I spend time in nature. And truthfully Hamstead Heath has all you need as a nature lover.

There is a plethora of pubs for a late Sunday lunch should one fancy. I don’t have a favourite yet but I will be sure to let you know.

Drawing Classes

I will be taking up a new hobby in form of drawing classes. I found a couple on the Internet that I will be trying out and will report later. Since moving to the new place I have decided to create my own art for the walls and Matisse is a big inspiration of mine. I’m excited to see how it goes.

Drawing classes start at £15 per session which is pretty much a price of a cocktail. It’s a no-brainer for me especially as I’m moving towards wellness more and more these days.

Movie Theatres

London has so many on offer and this is an amazing season to visit them. With days getting colder and shorter who doesn’t want to snuggle up to a good film? My favourite is the Soho House screening rooms as I’m a member however, any local cinema will do. Just be mindful of what you consume as subliminal messaging can really affect our subconscious so always be aware of how you feel before, during and after seeing the content.

Carolee Schneemann Body Politics at Barbican

Carolee pioneered a change in the 50s as a woman choosing to draw her own naked body and use period blood for her paintings in the 70s. In a true feminine energy sense, it’s good to educate on how women such as Carolee shaped our future and the breakdown of dysfunctional patriarchy. The show runs until the 8th of January and I’m more than excited to see it.

Another show I will be seeing is Soheila Sokhanvari: Rebel Rebel starting from the 7th of October until the 26th of February 2023.

Frieze London 2022 at Regents Park 12-16 October

For five days, 160 of the world’s best contemporary art galleries will come together under one roof and offer visitors the chance to see amazing art all in one place. I’m excited to visit too.

Do you have any great things to do in London for the upcoming season? I would love to know, please leave a comment below.
