Usually, I stay in La Marais or Latin Quarter each time I go to Paris, but this time we wanted a hotel near the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel Tower is one of the most breathtaking landmarks in the world and I wanted to be able to see it each time when I looked through my window.
Since I stayed with Les Grands Hotels Parisiens, I figured that their Plaza Tour Eiffel hotel fits perfectly with my plans to stay at a hotel near the Eiffel Tower. The location played a big part but also the fact it’s a boutique hotel with 41 room. You guys know my love towards boutique hotels over bigger chains as they always have a nicer and more personal approach to service and design. Plaza Tour Eiffel was no different as I received the warmest welcome as soon as I stepped through the door. Usually check is around 3 pm in most hotels and since we arrived around 12, they made the room available to us straight away which I thought it was extremely nice.
I took my train from the airport Trocadero and the walk from the metro was approximately 5 minutes and the walk gave much such sense of the excitement to be back in this beautiful city. They say Paris is the city of love and light and I just feel so content and inspired each time I return. Since this time our we stayed in a hotel near the Eiffel Tower, I decided to capture as much content as possible around it.
We’d wake up early most mornings and come down for breakfast served in the continental style. Fresh bread and pastry basked were supplied each morning as well as fruit platters which as you can see played a big prop in my photos. Paris is the only city in the world where I overindulge in bread and cheese but who can blame me as there are so many different kinds of cheese to try plus baguettes taste like a dream.
We stayed in a Junior Suite with a balcony overlooking the Eiffel Tower which was particularly beautiful to look at in the evening when lights were turned on. Sipping on the red wine and taking in the view of the Eiffel Tower is an experience in itself that I highly recommend next time you find yourself in Paris.
The bed was extremely comfortable and provided a perfect place to work and rest. We shot content most days and edited in the evening so I really needed to be in a cosy comfortable situation to rest from a long day of work but at the same time continue working. The pillows were so soft and comfortable and it made it hard to get up and leave in the mornings.
The bathroom had the best lighting, bath and a high-pressure shower. The White Company toiletries were replenished on a daily and I couldn’t resist but to enjoy at least one bath with a glass of red wine before putting on a soft white robe and discussing the day we had.
If you are looking to stay in a hotel near the Eiffel Tower, I highly recommend the Hotel Plaza Tour Eiffel as not only for its location but amazing service that will make sure you feel at home every moment of your stay there.
Have an amazing week ahead.
