Slightly behind on posts, this week but here we go, better late than never 🙂
If you are in London then I’m sure most of you are enjoying this heatwave, I know I am. When the weather is this hot then we all need a lunch/brunch place to cool down and have our vegan salad in peace. Now I have a just a place for you and its located in gorgeous Victoria Park (click HERE for the map).
Pavilion Café is a favourite place for many East Londoners as it not only offers amazingly delicious food but its setting is to die for. I love Victoria Park and I spend a lot of time there but to have decent brunch options available in a place overlooking the lake, it’s rather convenient.
Positioned just on the edge of a lake, Pavilion Café is exactly it. You walk in and you queue for your Eggs Benedict/Royale, Full English or even American style pancakes. If you are brave like me then I can’t recommend their Tofu Lentil salad enough- not only is it delicious but it kept me full all day. The food is really good so it’s not surprising that this place is always busy as most of the time you have to queue for a table as well. All ingredients are locally sourced and I believe that they make their own cakes and drinks. I opted for natural cloudy lemonade with my standard soy Americano.
The service is quick as once you order and pay at the counter, you are given the number to take with you. When your food is ready one of the waitresses will bring it out quoting your number so it’s easier for them to find you in a hipster looking crowd.
Pavilion is children and pet-friendly too.
It’s such a cool spot to have brunch at and people watch whilst they paddle on their boats that are available to rent at the lake.
I’m almost done with my dissertation and I can’t wait to have more time to post more frequently.
Have a good week everyone!
