My Instagrammable Bali Food Guide

If you follow me on Instagram you might have noticed that I have been on a Bali food tour all the way from Ubud down to Seminyak, Canggu and the surrounding areas. I’m not going to lie,  I was so impressed with the abundance of Instagrammable Bali Food spots that it took me quite some time to get this post live for you guys.

If you are planning a trip to Bali this year, I highly recommend all of these places especially if you are into healthy eating. The Bali food options are endless so you will find yourself spoilt for choice. All of the restaurants and cafes have the cutest decors and are super Isntagrammable so I couldn’t help myself but take tons of photos to get as much atmosphere as possible over to you guys. All of these places are my favourite so I couldn’t pick the one that I love the most as they offer different dishes that will fill you with wholesome goodness. The best thing about eating out in Bali is the prices are so low so expect to pay approx 3.5 quid for a good meal. I have a similar post from Chiang Mai but since we spent more time in Bali, I had a chance to eat out more and of course share my favourite Bali food spots with you guys.

My only hope is that you will find this guide helpful as it took me quite some time to put it together. If you do by any chance end up going or have been to some of these places, do leave me a comment below as I would love to find out your thoughts and experience.

UBUD

I will start with Ubud as this is the first place we went to when we arrived. Ubud is heaven for any foodie as its packed with so many cute restaurants that it was hard to go to all but I picked my favourite two that are a must visit when in town.

Lazy Cats Cafe Ubud

I’m in love with this cafe, it’s literally the cutest spot. Located on Jl. Raya Ubud No.23 it’s a perfect brunch spot. The concrete interior with pops of pink provides a perfect location for an Instagram photo, however, the interior is not the only thing I love about the Lazy Cat Cafe. The food here is so yum especially if you like vegan options. The atmosphere is super cosy and if I lived in Ubud I would literally make Lazy Cat Cafe my office. It has a cute little balcony that overlooks a busy street below, which provides a perfect opportunity for people watching if you are into that kinda stuff. I love it especially when I need to figure some things out as it allows me to wander away. Anyway, all in all, if you like healthy food and cosy atmosphere then you have to visit the Lazy Cat Cafe as I’m sure you will like it as much as I did.

Kismet Restaurant and Lounge

Kismet Restaurant located on Jl. Goutama Sel. No.27X is my other choice for Ubud but I would recommend it for either late lunch or dinner as it is little better for an evening option. Kismet is a green restaurant serving the most delicious vegan dishes, I opted for an Asia Salad bowl with vegan satay skewers. I was so impressed with the size and the amount of delicious healthy food that comes with it. Also, they have this cool red light bulb above each table so if you need the service all you have to do is pull the light switch and when the light goes on, your waiter will pop over to see what you need. We stayed after sunset and Kismet filled with couples and the atmosphere really provided a perfect setting for a date. If you are in Ubud, you really need to visit Kismet as you will love it.

SEMINYAK

Seminyak was a treat, although I loved Ubud it was way quieter than Seminyak know for its buzzy vibe. There were so many cute boutiques, cafes and restaurants that you can never be bored here. Also shopping here is a treat. Here are just a few of my favourite must-visit spots.

The Koop Cafe

I love the Koop not only because of it responsibly sources all of its coffee from the coffee farm in Ubud but it prides itself on supporting the local community. I love businesses that care about their communities and it’s so nice to see when they give back. On the serious note, the cold brew at The Koop was to die for and don’t even get me started on their Chicken Avocado salad. The interior was so chic filled with coffee bean sack and education on coffee. They are so passionate about coffee at Koop that I really loved that I discovered this cute cafe and that I can share it with you guys.  The staff were so friendly and kindly showed us around and given us some education on their coffee production. I can’t wait to be back here.
The Koop is located on Jalan Drupadi No.66, Seminyak.

The Spicy Coconut

You might have heard about The Spicy Coconut on Gypsea Lust’s Instagram and after visiting, I can see why Lauren likes it. This spot is not only Instagrammable but has the most delicious food and fresh coconuts. The Spicy Coconut is located on Jl. Batu Belig No. 81 and I really recommend you guys pay it a visit if you are in the area. We had the most delicious smoothie bowl here and smashed avo was to die for. They are only open until 3.30 for breakfast lunch and it’s basically a heaven for vegetarians. I can’t wait to be back in Bali so I can eat here every day.

Uma Kopi

Uma Kopi was slightly different as it was an outdoor garden that serves the most delicious Balinese coffee and food at decent prices. Uma Kopi was so chill and we loved spending time in the garden eating vegan tacos. The seating had Instagram icons which I had to capture obvs, so the cafe had to be in my top favourite Bali food spots. The staff were so friendly that I would come here to work every single day. They also have apartments upstairs and it seemed like there were surfer friendly. Uma Kopi is located on Jalan Drupadi No.3 and a must visit if you are in the area.

Canggu

I absolutely loved spending time in Canggu and if I move to Bali, I will be based here. We had an apartment here so we didn’t spend too much time eating out but I did go to a few spots and picked my favourites for you. We actually put more accent on the nightlife here as its literally so much fun to go out in Canggu. Anyway maybe I will talk about this some other time but here are a couple of my favourite spots.

Poke Poke and Roti Canai

These are two restaurants that serve different food but are connected. Poke Poke was too busy so we decided to have our Poke bowls in Roti Canai which is literally a room next door. Poke Poke is located on Jl. Pantai Batu Balong no.58 and it offers the most delicious Poke bawls I have ever tasted. They have different options available on their menu served in 2 sizes and I obviously opted for the large option. My choice of Poke was Aloha Bali with sashimi tuna in sweet and spicy sesame oil and I still think about it. I will need to try to find a similar in London as honestly, I miss these so much.

If you fancy Indonesian food or Roti which is, by the way, an Indian inspired flatbread with fillings of your choice, you can order form Roti Canai menu. I decided to have a large milkshake as they are so cute for photos and I didn’t have a dessert in a while. We loved eating here as the food was so delicious and portions quite large.

Two Trees Eatery

Two Trees located on 99, Jl. Pantai Berawa run by Chloe and Laura whom I had a chance to meet is one the cutest cafes in Berawa. I loved their menu and the fact that they serve colourfull lates with different dairy free milk options. They have so many amazing smoothie options that you can turn into a bowl. I opted for avocado on toast (shocker I know) and a smoothie bowl which was so yum. The interior of the Two Trees Eatery is so cute, the room is so bright and airy with pops of yellow and I really loved it. They have a cute swing on one of the trees at the front which is very popular as a photo opp. I loved this place and I really recommend you guys visit if you are in Canggu.

As you can see I went little crazy on photos again but I couldn’t help myself with how pretty and Isntagrammable every place was and perfect to include in Bali Food Guide post. I hope you guys enjoyed reading it and let me know if you are planning a trip to Bali as I would love to find out your plans.

Happy Monday and have a great week ahead.
