My simple everyday anti-ageing routine

Being in my almost mid-thirties, I have to make sure that I pay attention to the products and brands I apply to my skin. I make sure I do my daily and nightly anti-ageing routine and invest in products that are not only good for me but also the environment.

Before I get into my anti-ageing routine, I wanted to make sure you know that products will only get you so far. The most important thing you can do for your skin to slow down ageing is to eat healthy food most of the time, drink at least 2-3 litres of water a day and sleep min of seven hours. I sleep eight hours every day, and it changes the game for me.

Let’s get into my simple everyday day anti-ageing routine.

Cleansing

After I wake up every morning, I cleanse my face using L’occitane Immortelle Divine cream cleanser. I love the smell of these cleaners as I started using these products when I was in Asia. It always takes me back. The product has antiageing properties, and when it comes to contact with the water, it creates a gentle foam that cleanses away all the impurities. Its really one of my favourites. The whole range is based on Immortelle flower oil which is found growing in Corsica and its been used to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and ageing skin

Toner

UMA Ultimate Brightening Rose Toner is my recent discovery, and I’m obsessed. It comes in this beautiful glass bottle, and it smells divine.
The toner contains rose and sandalwood essentials oils. It also contains papaya and peptin, which helps to clear out all the pores and remove the dirt from the face. The rose water feels so luxe on the skin and gives a lovely glow. I have to admit that I’m not a massive toner fan, but this one changed the game for me.

Serum

The Ordinary Buffet Serum has been my go-to recently, and I love how hydrated my skin feels after it. I have heard such amazing things about The Ordinary products, and this is the first one I’ve ever bought and have to admit that I love it so far. The product is formulated to target the signs of antiaging in a base of 11 skin-friendly amino acids and multiple hyaluronic acid complexes according to their website. The total concentration in the formula by weight is 25.1% which is impressive. I love the Ordinary and what they represent as a company and the best thing about their products is that they won’t break the bank. They come at a rather affordable price.

Moisturizers

Drunk Elephant is the brand I have incorporated into my everyday day anti-ageing routine for the past month, and I had to include these two products like my favourite to use on a daily. C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Serum is fantastic. It contains five forms f vitamin C to brighten the under-eye area and cucumber extract to firm the soothe and restore fine lines. I have noticed my eye area looking brighter all around.

I also love the packaging and the size of the product. It looks like I barely scratched the surface in the past month. If you are seeking a luxurious feel brightening anti-ageing serum than you should give this product a go as it ticks all of those boxes.

Drunken Elephant A-Passioni Retinol Cream is my daily moisturizer. It contains 1% retinol or vitamin A which is the best ingredient you can ask for in your antiaging products. The reach cream helps to reduce lines. It feeds the skin with Vitamin F, blend of passionfruit, apricot, marula and jojoba oils to replenish and nourishes to achieve younger-looking skin.

Some products associated with retinol may cause redness on your face, so be extra careful when you choose yours. I haven’t experienced any redness with this cream, and if anything, it feels so nourishing and creamy when I apply it to my face. The retinol in Drunk Elephant cream is vegan. I love the packaging and how easy it is to take with me on my travels. The only downside is that it doesn’t contain SPF, but I add this in my foundation as the next step.

Supplements

HUM nutrition Skin Heroes Pre+Probiotics are my current skin go-to when it comes to additional skin nutrition. I was introduced to HUM last year while living out in LA, and I fell in love with the brand.

They that the gut health affects the clear skin and I believe that gut health is essential when it comes to many other functions of our body. I don’t tend to get many breakouts unless I’m coming onto my period. However, I feel good knowing that my skin is extra taken off when I take my HUM supplements.

The product contains billions of ultra-targeted good bacteria that nurture the gut microbiome, which in turn can help support a clear, smooth and even skin tone. Expect results in 4-6 weeks according to their website.

All in all, I’m proud of my current skin routine as I can be sure that I’m doing all it takes to prevent future lines of forming. Antiaging is a lot to do with prevention and regardless of whether you are in your 20s or 30’s its never too early to start giving it extra nutrition.

Let me know in the comments below if you used any of the recommended products and your thoughts on them? Do you have your favourite?

I hope you enjoyed reading my simple everyday day anti-ageing routine and that it helps educate you little more on what products to get.

Lots of love

I love The Ordinary. They have a 23% sale this month and I picked up a few of their products. Will keep an eye out for the buffet serum.
